Hiya folks and fan readers. Which so far makes one (myself). =D It is just about the end of February. A short month yes, but glad to be moving on to March.
It has not even been 3 weeks since my husband left for training. It feels like 3 months. There are times when the day goes by SUPER slow and other days where there is just NOT enough time. That's when time management kicks in. So I'm a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom), so I don't have a job...blah blah blah. But that doesn't mean that I'm not busy. On top of missing my other half, I have to deal with my 3 little ones. I LOVE them to death. Literally, Death. Because sometimes, I feel like they are killing me....LOL. But we'll come back to that later. Time management is life. If I complain because I didn't get my homework done in time, don't feel pity for me. It's because I was being a lazy ass and had more than enough time to do it, but chose to procrastinate. Don't hate though, because I know that every one of you does the same thing. Time will go by no matter what, why waste it??? You may catch me on Facebook quite a bit, but that doesn't mean that I'm sitting at my computer staring at the same ol' screen all day long. Puh-leeze, I do have a life.
You would think that missing your spouse would be the hardest thing you would have to deal with. But you're WRONG! Yes, I miss and love my husband very much. Very MUCH! But, if you sit and sulk and wait, it won't do you any good. The hardest thing so far, is being the only one for my children to come to when they need something. They need to eat; who cooks? They need clean clothes; who does laundry? They have a problem; who do they ask? And the list goes on and on. You may think to yourself, I do that as a mom anyway, because I know you are. And yes, I did do those things when my husband was home. But it is magnified when he is gone. Anyone who's been through a deployment or has a spouse that has a job that demands him/her to be away knows what I'm talking about. Being a "single" parent isn't impossible. It's just not always fun. You know what makes it easier? Good friends, family, and conversation.
When my kids are awesome and listen, it's the greatest thing in the world! When they are crabby and won't leave me alone and scream, it makes the day SOOO much longer. I think I'm going bald with these kids running around. I guess all kids have their days, just like us adults. Wouldn't it be great to throw a tantrum and have someone hold you and rock you until you're calm again? I seriously think they need to make an adult size swing that mimics a baby swing. They look so comfortable!
While the hubby is away I've been trying to stay busy. Lunches, playdates, parties etc. But I think I need to think outside of the box and try new things. I am just not sure what that is yet. I am not one for crafts, scrapbooking, sewing etc. I wish I did have the patience to do so, one day. I am still on the hunt for self discovery. Finishing school will be a ginormous accomplishment. There are so many things in life I still want to do. The bucket list so to speak. Degrees, career, wellness and health, certificate programs, trips. Anything that I could do to enhance my family life is worth doing. I am still working on this blogging thing. I am not even sure if this is Blogging etiquette.
The hubs should be home in a couple of months and I couldn't be more excited. Just kidding, I will be more excited when the time gets closer. My mom, stepdad, brother and sister are coming to visit next month and I am absolutely giddy! It will be great time to relax, have fun, and enjoy their company. I cannot wait to see them. My sister is about to graduate highschool. My brother is about to get his license. My mom is still cutting off chickens heads and my stepdad is still fixing peoples phone lines. My other sister won't be visiting, she has to work. She LOVES to deal with grumpy people. Just kidding Ling!
Counting down to a family visit and the hubs coming home. Good times!
Anyway, hope this isn't too long. And moreso, hope you guys enjoyed reading my babbling. Let me know what you think! Thank you guys for taking the time out to read my thoughts!
